IAEA’s impartiality lies with nuclear disarmament of Israel: Arab League

TEHRAN – Arab League Secretary General Amr Mussa has criticized the double standard policies practiced by the UN nuclear watchdog toward Iran’s peaceful nuclear program while turning a blind eye to Israel’s nuclear weapons stockpiles, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

He called for a nuclear disarmament of Israel by the International of Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and world powers in order to prove their impartiality towards all countries.

Mussa also asked the IAEA to launch investigation into Israel’s nuclear activities.

“We are really surprised that some countries are denied the right to peaceful nuclear energy but some others are allowed to have nuclear weapons which threaten the entire region,” he told Reuters in Tunis.

Mussa described the IAEA’s silence about the Zionist regime’s nuclear weapons as “unacceptable”.
